Anchored In Hope Counseling
A Christian Counseling Center
What's in a Name?
Anchored In Hope Counseling was established by Michelle Alexander in 2026 and created with Christ as the foundation. The name comes from Hebrews 6:19, "For we have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." Our hope in God is like an anchor for a boat. When storms come, an anchor keeps the boat from drifting away. In the same way, faith and hope in God's promises help keep us steady during hard times, fear, uncertainty, or suffering.
At Anchored In Hope Counseling, individualized care is provided through a personalized approach that honors each client's unique story, values, and goals. By integrating Biblical principles with evidence-based counseling techniques, clients receive compassionate support that promotes healing and growth.

Beyond the Therapy Room
I am a daughter, sister, friend, dog mom, and Disney lover. You can find me sitting outside with my dog, Nala; enjoying a St. Louis Cardinal's baseball game; attending a Broadway show; or singing along to my favorite music. I am a down-to-earth Hoosier girl who enjoys March Madness and the Indy 500.
I have my bachelor's in Elementary and Special Education from Ball State University and my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. Becoming a teacher was my plan, but becoming a counselor was God's plan. My experiences as an educator allowed me to see the behind-the-scenes of my students' lives, which made me want to help in a bigger way. So, I listened to God and began my journey to becoming a mental health counselor.
My personal life experiences during grad school led me to have a heart for trauma and grief, and you will see that passion come to life in the therapy room. I am here to walk alongside you during your toughest battles and offer warm and compassionate care so your heart can heal.
